Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and a prominent figure in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has urged supporters to see the upcoming November 24 protest as more than just an effort to free her husband from incarceration. She has described it as a critical juncture for Pakistan’s future, calling for unity, determination, and effective organization to ensure the success of the movement.
In an audio message reportedly directed to PTI workers, Bushra Bibi laid out a detailed strategy to prepare for the protests. She emphasized the importance of involving not just party members but also the general public to expand the movement’s impact. “This is not just a fight for the PTI; it is a fight for every Pakistani,” she reportedly said. She stressed that participants should document the event thoroughly, capturing videos that highlight the public’s involvement and determination to stand for their rights.
Acknowledging potential obstacles like an internet shutdown, Bushra Bibi urged the workers to establish alternative communication methods to keep the protest’s message alive. She called on social media influencers and YouTubers to actively cover and share live footage of the events to ensure the protests remain visible and impactful on both national and international platforms.
Bushra Bibi also addressed concerns about injuries or arrests during the protests. She assured PTI workers that any injured participants would be cared for by their local representatives, such as MNAs or MPAs, and their families would not be abandoned. She emphasized loyalty and accountability within the party, noting that those who failed to provide video evidence of their participation risked losing future opportunities, such as being considered for election tickets.
Framing the protest as a pivotal moment in Pakistan’s history, Bushra Bibi described it as a “loyalty test” for PTI members. She reminded them that their actions on this day would determine their commitment not only to their leader but also to the nation. In meetings with PTI officials and youth leaders, she conveyed Imran Khan’s message of hope and trust in the youth to lead the charge.
The November 24 protest date was officially announced by Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, following her discussions with him in prison. Aleema highlighted the importance of this demonstration, claiming it was a response to the perceived injustices faced by PTI and a stolen mandate earlier in the year. KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur echoed this sentiment, vowing not to return home until Imran Khan’s release.
Bushra Bibi’s leadership has turned the November 24 protest into a movement much larger than any one individual, positioning it as a fight for Pakistan’s integrity, rights, and future.
