In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently received a death threat via a phone call, prompting authorities to launch an immediate investigation. The Bandra Police Station registered the case on Thursday and has since been working to identify the caller.
Following an initial investigation, police revealed that the call reportedly originated from the phone of a man named Faizan Khan, a resident of Raipur, Chhattisgarh. In response, police officials have dispatched a team to Raipur to apprehend the suspect. According to reports, the call came through a police landline number at Bandra Police Station, with the caller demanding a ransom of ₹50 lakh and threatening Khan’s life if the amount was not paid.
The case has been registered under Sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the BNS; however, no formal complaint has been filed by Shah Rukh Khan’s team at this time. The incident comes on the heels of ongoing threats directed at Salman Khan, who has also been the target of frequent death threats. Recently, on October 30, Salman Khan reportedly received a WhatsApp message demanding ₹20 million through Mumbai Police’s Traffic Helpline. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been linked to many of these threats, with previous incidents involving gunshots fired outside Salman Khan’s residence in the Bandra area in April.
Amid these escalating threats, Shah Rukh Khan has been under Y+ security since October 2023 to ensure his safety. On his recent birthday, the actor refrained from his usual greeting to fans outside his home, Mannat, as an added precaution. Both actors’ security remains a high priority as investigations continue.
